[ this is Quite the Hat but he won't comment on it. mages do love a good silly hat. anders has also changed into home attire, so he looks like a giant, bedraggled crow. hooray! someone really likes feathers.
rolling his eyes at this, but, he gets it. he's already playing this game with mizu too. ]
It's not a style I've seen during any of my travels.
[ Which is said curiously. Visiting different countries, there's quite a few styles you get familiar seeing and all. ]
All of this is just what I normally wear. ..I've had them for as long as I can remember. [ A gloved hand tilts pulls down a little at the brim of their hat. Big. Big hat. ] A lot of the kids like to call me a wizard because of it though.
I doubt it's a style seen anywhere. It's not exactly typical mage garb, but I swore I'd never wear the skirts again when I left the Wardens.
[ pants are a symbol of the rebellion. wizard isn't exactly a typical mage word either, though it apparently exists in dragon age. that said, the hat does sort of scream Wizard. ]
[ Ever curious, not that mage is all that common of a term to them but they can understand in this context at least. ]
Hmmm... Not exactly as spell casting as you expect with wizards and I guess mages. [ From what kids like to imagine. Though he does make a weird gesture, a gloved hand making a "scissors" sign.] Craft magic is just something you know at any age, no matter where you're from, so it's not anything special. It's pretty common?
[ Their single eye still has some of that curiosity at the mention, but since he seems distracted.. they don't mind focusing on his questions first. The travel mention gets a nod before he thinks of how to reply to the first question. ]
Uh, I think the textbook explanation is that Craft magic is.. [ Try to remember, try to remember.. ] "the art of sculpting the many facets of the world to one’s desires." It's everywhere and used by everyone. Whether it's in battle, or outside it. Long as you know the appropriate ritual to cast the spell, you can use it.
There are three main types of Craft that's used, you kinda grow into a specific type but nothing is stopping anyone from learning all three.
[ Right, their scissors sign which they wiggle a little for emphasis. ]
I'm Scissors Craft, which is also known as the Piercing Craft, which has the scissors sign for its ritual.

At that mention of name, Siffrin does blink a few before lips curl in a cat-like smile. That was easier than they expected? Huh. ]
Anders, then. [ A curious head tilt now as he takes in the other's attire. ] Are those clothes from.. home?

Yes. They serve the purpose. [ he used to be a lot more vain, but. he hasn't been in years. ] I assume you brought the ... hat. It's big.
[ its big. ]

... you can craft candles to change smell over time? [ That is not what he asked. ] And make it so torches never go out..?
It's got everyday use for outside battle, but in battle its more of.. raw damage, buffs, debuffs and healing..
