It's everywhere and used by everyone. Whether it's in battle, or outside it. Long as you know the appropriate ritual to cast the spell, you can use it.
There are three main types of Craft that's used, you kinda grow into a specific type but nothing is stopping anyone from learning all three.

It's got everyday use for outside battle, but in battle its more of.. raw damage, buffs, debuffs and healing..
