[ as he looks up, now is a good time to mention that there's another soft bird noise from above their heads! not a piou piou, but a soft pigeon's coo. ]
[ (..dont know about that) A quiet thought as they listen, peering out. What kind of impression can they even leave? But they don't think much about themselves. Siffrin is pretty forgetful, after all. The mention of stars does have them frown deeply as they look up.

sure enough, up in the rafters, there are not one...but two birds! two doves, just chilling. taair lifts his hands to his mouth and softly imitates the coo bird noise. ]
Mm. Though they are not 'mine' - they are citizens of this place, who have become drawn to me by the blessing of the Radiant. Right now, they are refugees - their home has been twisted by the entity as well.
[ the two doves, once they are cooed at, come fluttering down. one lands on taair's shoulder, and the other on the ground in front of siffrin, looking at them curiously. ]
These are [ gestures to the one on his shoulder ] Rose [ and gestures down to the one on the ground ] and Jack. They are a bonded pair, but they are quite friendly, if you'd like to say hello.
[ there's a soft hum of encouragement in his emotions - a fondness, a patience. go ahead. ]
[ jack is especially very friendly - he hops right up to peep and starts grooming them without any fanfare, though rose stays back a bit, content to hang out with taair. he dips his shoulder a little towards siffrin, if siff wants to pet, as rose sticks her beak out curiously. ]
It was quite kind of the Radiant to send them my way. [ with a hum. ] It has made some of the lonelier moments here feel far less lonely, I think.
