Circumstances were not... nearly so dire as in your world. [she shrugs lightly.] We lived in the capital city.

So far, it seems like all our worlds are pretty different. [ Still, they're curious to know them. ] What was the capital city like?

Well... it is a bustling place, full of people. The imperial palace is there, of course, so dignitaries and merchants would often come to the city as well...

Imperial palace? [ Oh. ] As expected from a capital city then. I think the biggest city I can think of in Vaugarde is Jouvente.. I know they have several Houses there.

[jiaohua]

"Houses"... noble houses, you mean?

In Vaugarde, Houses are primarily a place of worship for the Change belief.

Oh! Like a temple, then.

Something like that, yeah. I think Ka Bue have temples... or um, shrines. But in Vaugarde, they refer to them as Houses.

What is the "Change belief," anyway?

[punnier]

Mmm, it's not a religion I follow but two of my companions are a part of it. [ Tries to remember how they worded it.. ] But it's a religion practiced in most of Vaugarde whose ideals are about change in both its practitioners and in the world as a whole.

It encourages its practitioners to constantly change things such as their appearances, personalities, interests, and aspects of their life. [ It's like reading off a script for them to say out loud. ] They're really welcoming to people from anywhere though, so anyone can join at anytime if they want.

Oh. The name is a bit... on the nose, isn't it?

Yeah. It is.

If it's not a religion you follow... is there a different one that you do?
