[He is honestly mostly just being tided over by the notion that many of them will be able to meet again someday, sooner or later, if they choose to come to this Heaven once they die a second time. He can't really afford to let the sorrow of so many unwanted partings bog him down, considering all he still has to do, but it's weighty. It is a weighty thing, and it would overwhelm him if he gave it too much of a foothold in his mind.
Like this, it's easier. Holding their hands and thinking of anything but finality. Not really fully understanding the situation they're returning to; knowing enough to be concerned, but not enough to feel as though this will be a true and final parting. Still, the last thing he wants to do is leave people feeling heavy on the cusp of goodbye, so he gives their hands a little squeeze and offers a bright smile.]
I'm blessed to have such an abundance of lovely stories, but even more blessed to have had you in my life so that I could learn them. Our time together may have been short in the grand scheme, but every moment of it was precious to me.
