Yeah. There were monsters my group would encounter on our travels back where I was called Sadnesses.

[ Rolls a 20... well, Siffrin gets lucky and does a really good combo in their next few button mash that does a decent HP hit! ]

It's a term they were given for as long as anyone can remember. Partly because Sadnesses are physical manifestations of intense negative emotions. Mostly that of grief and sadness.
