[ Claude watches Siffin move over the stage, and it is pretty cool. There's a sense of peace and wonder that it creates. ]

[ It's cool and a little fun. Even though Siffrin isn't at all following the music that plays, just stepping along. He nods at the question. ]

Mm, traveled for as long as I could remember. It was only more recently I joined a group.

Where were you headed?

We just recently arrived in Dormont, it's a small village within the country Vaugarde. We were on a bit of a quest.

[ Stands still, tapping his heeled boot to see the floor light up still. Huh. ]

On a quest for what?

[ Joint steppies on the lightstage.. it's prettier seeing another person's steps join in with theirs. Only distracted for a moment. ]

To stop the King. [ Should probably elaborate on that... ] He was spreading a curse, plans of freezing all of Vaugarde in time.

[ Grim topic while playing with lights on the dancefloor, yeah. At least their steps are cute!! ]

Vaugardians don't really know, just one day he started to freeze everything in time. We only have a limited time to stop him before he freezes the small village we are at and everything else. [ Pauses in their steppies. ] And.. my group is more focused on stopping him than asking.

[ Which is fair. ]

That's fair enough. You don't really have the luxury to be asking questions, it seems.

[ Tilting his head, brows furrowing. ]

Is time magic common where you're from?

[ Stops walking for a moment, pausing briefly before continuing on. ]

No, before the King somehow learned how to use Time Craft, everyone thought it was some myth of sorts. Something nobody could achieve.

[ Hm. Bad. ]

So you're operating at a disadvantage. Or do you have a counter to this magic?

[punnier]

One of my friends. She has a blessing, that stops her from being frozen in time, and knows a spell to free someone else from it so long as it's done right away.

[ Nodding... ]

So you practice magic too?

[punnier]

I wouldn't really say practice. In my world Craft magic is kinda.. omnipresent? It's a part of battle, yeah, but it's also in a lot of everyday life.

Craft magic... Like just creating things?

[punnier]

The textbook way to describe it is "the art of sculpting the many facets of the world to one’s desires." But it does more than create some things.

[ Continues to step on the lightstage, trying to remember some explanations. ] It uses wide variety of applications, from skills used during battles to everyday spells, such as sculpting matter to a specific shape, painting, creating weapons, modifying one’s appearance or giving objects magical properties.. The list really does go on.

Yeah, I'd say so. And not an option for many people...

A lot of people do it on my world, but from what I've heard with people here.. it does seem like it isn't.

It's not in my world. Most people are farmers, so they can't afford to leave their land behind. And even those with money can't afford to do it often.

Besides that, it can be dangerous, so most people wouldn't want to risk something happening to their family.
