[ A flicker of muted surprise, before they nod again. That's a close by stop too so once the train does come around, it doesn't take long for them to reach the beach.
As they step onto the beach, their eye peers out to the sea. ]
[when they arrive, uruha's gaze flickers to the soundstage for a moment, before out at the water.
... he thinks of how lucas had asked what his favourite place here was, and what his answer was. but if he let his memories taint everything, then at this point, nothing would be left.
he reaches out for siffrin's wrist, before pausing. wonders if he should even, or if this is more than siffrin is comfortable with, after everything today. (he wouldn't blame most people for wanting to avoid him, after watching him kill a bunch of blones.) but in the end, uruha has seen that siffrin is someone afraid to push boundaries, so it should be uruha who does so. he grasps siffrin's wrist, if they'll let him, and lead them to the shore.]
[ One gloved hand raises a little, to gently trace and fiddle with the pin on their cloak, something to do as they watch the water. The waves that come and pull away. It would be nice if they could think of.. anything, something.
But their thoughts remain empty, void, quiet. Trying to pull a memory from anywhere.. and coming up with nothing. That hand starts to drop and it's then they register the grasp around their wrist.
It comes with surprise, that familiar tiny jolt, but they don't pull away and follow the lead easily. A glance to him, before over to the shore again with an aching familiarity that hangs on the tip of their tongue. ]
[oh, siffrin... you are really going through it right now...
for a while, he just watches the waves, tries to find a sense of peace in them. once in a while, he glances over at siffrin, wondering and also frankly worried.]
Siffrin will continue to watch the waves, rest in the familiarity that this has happened before. (..With who?) Or perhaps it's been multiple times? Though when he glances over, they will meet that gaze and tilt their head. ]
[ Their head tilts, expression furrowing with confusion before they offer a half-shrug. It'll be fine, whatever it is. Nothing is different too much from what they're used to this week.
[ It's a fair assumption though. Siffrin is normally quiet, aren't they? Sometimes choosing not to talk, sitting in silence. That's what they did last night after all.
But at the question, they still. For a moment, their gaze flicks out, before facing him a bit more and bringing a gloved hand to lightly tap their own throat and nod. Yeah lol ]
[he frowns at that, but it's not like there's anything he can do about it. he glances back at the sea, before back at siffrin. gazes at nothing in particular.
[ Siffrin follows along, glancing again at the scene and they've been here before. Once. Twice. A blink, that memory gone and they glance at the shamisen. Oh, an expectant look at Uruha after. ]
[he gets into position, and begins to play—a gentle song, because he doesn't think he has it in him to play anything too sad right now.
he tries not to think about how most of the people he's played for here or gone. or that he doesn't know the status of his relationship with one of the few who remain. just focus on the song. it's fine.]
[ No sad, only gentol. Siffrin will seat themselves nearby, watching him play, listening to the song.
Watching as he does. Not sure what must be going through his mind as he plays, but it isn't as if their own thoughts are much of anything themselves. ..It would be nice if they could remember this. Their hand gently fiddles with the pin again as they think this. ]
[ This is normal, there's nothing to worry about...
When the song finishes, they perk up a little more, they definitely aren't bored and they haven't zoned out entirely as if they missed the whole thing. They did need this. A distraction. A new memory. Gives him a quiet applause. ]
[ Listening again, even though they watch him more so than the playing. While Siffrin is used to being quiet, listening, some cases it's.. actually really bothersome not being able to talk. But it's fine. ]
